Black Panther Psychology: Hidden Kingdoms

In the wake of the success of the Black Panther (2018) film, Dr. Hintz authored a chapter for Black Panther Psychology: Hidden Kingdoms. Utilizing both motion picture and comic book references, Dr. Hintz outlines elements of Black racial identity development inherent in the arcs of two central characters—T’Chall and Killmonger—noting that the success of the film may be largely due to the sense of familiarity and connection experienced by audiences around the world.
